What kind of products do you design?
I'm Rakibul Islam (Rakib), a Senior Product Designer specializing in B2B SaaS. Over 6+ years, I've designed 8+ SaaS products, mostly data-heavy dashboards, complex workflows, and design systems, across field service, workforce management, real estate, and lead generation.
Have you designed a product from scratch?
Yes, several. My most recent is Mapage, a 0-to-1 salon management platform for the Japanese market, where I turned early requirements into connected workflows for appointments, customers, and daily operations. Before that, I worked at a service-based design company, helping clients across different industries shape new products from the ground up.
How do you use AI in your design work?
Every day, across the whole process. I use AI to synthesize research, explore flows and edge cases faster, draft UX copy, and prototype ideas in real code. I've also designed and shipped two tools of my own with ChatGPT, Codex, and Claude: Inspect Boss, a Chrome extension, and 8pt Grid Auditor, a Figma plugin. AI speeds up the work, but the product decisions and judgment are still mine.
How do you work with product managers and engineers?
Closely, from the start. I get involved early to understand business goals and technical constraints, explain my design decisions clearly, and build components engineers can reuse. I stay involved through design QA until the feature ships.
